The Hydro-Unit Eco FR is our high-quality series of one-pump booster systems that is designed for small applications. The compact and affordable design makes this variant on the multiple-pump pressure boosting system particularly suitable for individual homes, sports complexes or light industrial applications.

We recently added innovative features to this series. Some of the most important innovations are:

ACS and WRAS drinking water certificate

The Hydro-Unit Eco FR meets the highest standards for drinking water quality and is now officially ACS and WRAS approved.

Speed control with blue-tooth

The new Hydro-Unit Eco FR is equipped with a new speed control unit which is fixed on the motor and has a new user-friendly interface. The duty point can be set either via buttons on the control or via bluetooth using the App on your smartphone or tablet. When using a smartphone as hub, you can even change setting from a distance. This makes commissioning the pump very easy.

We have launched a new horizontal version of our well-known vertical DPV pump. The DPH(S)I is a horizontal pump, with a hydraulic performance that is equivalent to our energy-efficient DPV-pumps and is available in both AISI 304 and 316 materials.

This new horizontal pump is based upon the efficient design of the DPV vertical pump range, but has a completely new designed pump casing and support bracket to allow efficient horizontal installation and easy connection.

A wide selection of motors is available for a tailor made solution:

The JB 114 is an Offshore Platform that is mainly used for the construction and maintenance of windmills at sea. With pillars as long as 73 metres, the platform can stably plant itself onto the bottom of the sea. Provided with cranes, workshops, accommodation and a helicopter deck, the JBL 114 offers an excellent basis for heavy-duty activities sometimes under really harsh circumstances.

Marcel Hagens of Chubb Fire & Security was responsible for the fire protection system on the JB 114, which includes a low-pressure water mist system. Water mist fire protection cools the seat of the fire. Low-pressure systems (< 12.5 bar) have the advantage with respect to high-pressure systems that much fewer drops are split.

Consequently, less water is required, but still as much as 1.5 litre per m² per minute.

For the required water supply and pressure we rely on a Hydro Unit pressure booster system from the Duijvelaar Utility Line. This system has been equipped with 2 main pumps of 410 l/min. at 11 bar each and 1 jockey pump with a capacity of 33 l/min. at 11 bar. All parts coming into contact with the medium are made from stainless steel 3.16.

In connection with the commissioning of the installation Marcel attended a training at Duijvelaar Pompen, so he can now set up an installation provided with the Megacontrol control unit. This was really relevant to this specific application, because access to a platform such as the JB 114 is subject to strict requirements and the experts of Duijvelaar Pompen are not allowed to enter the platform just like that.

With the new DP Economy Line booster sets, we introduce an economical alternative for the DP Premium Line booster sets. The new Economy Line is based upon the horizontal multistage DPHM pump using standard components and a simplified control system to position this Economy Line in the market even more competitively.

The Economy Line is available as a one or two pump booster set in both fixed speed or variable speed (using (a) smart Nastec inverter(s)).

Besides a full stainless steel version equipped with DPHM pumps and stainless steel headers which meet most European potable water standards, there is also a version available equipped with DPHMC pumps and galvanized headers (this version has no valves etc. fitted).

To maximise the performance and efficiency of the Economy Line booster sets fitted with the Nastec inverter, the pumps are able to run up to 60Hz while the main power supply is 50Hz.
